Children's Bike Size — Which Size for Which Age?

The right bike size is crucial for safety and fun. Our chart shows which bike fits which age.

Summary

Children's bikes range from 12 to 26 inches. Body height matters more than age. From 95 cm → 12", 105 cm → 16", 120 cm → 20", 135 cm → 24", 140 cm → 26". Test rides available at Bike Haus Freiburg.

Why is the right bike size so important?

A bike that's too big or too small is not only uncomfortable — it's also unsafe. Children who can't safely touch the ground with their feet can't react properly in dangerous situations.
